Every book starts with a sentence . . .
These are the words I read in the heading of an e-mail, and I took it as a sign that I needed to to start writing. Every book starts with a sentence. I just needed to start. That was 7 years ago. 7 years. How many books can someone write in 7 years? Probably a lot more than 1 unfinished one.
After about 4 years I started working on a story, but 3 years later it still sits unfinished in Google Drive, Evernote, and Word. There are bits and pieces of it everywhere.
This Blog is just another one of the many excuses that get in the way of me finishing this book. I can’t explain it. All I know is I am stuck, with zero motivation to put in the hard work I know it will take to complete my story. I knew I needed an outlet for all the words in my head, the many, many words. I keep hearing about blogs, bloggers, blogging. Better late to the party then never, right?
I don’t even know right now what this Blog is going to be about. All I can say is, it will be the thoughts in my head. The words I don’t say, but that I want to say. I don’t think fast on my feet. I always think of something great to say, that I wished I said, long after the moment is gone. So here is my space to say all the words I didn’t say. This will be the legacy I leave behind, the words I want others to remember me by. This is my penned legacy.
